Consults reflect advisory support provided to researchers and research teams at different stages of their projects and are distinct from the research projects listed on our site.

What to expect

Our consults meet you where you are in your patient-oriented research project.

Whether you’re just starting out or preparing to share findings, you can access up to 15 hours of expert advice for categories listed above.

Our services align with the foundational elements of a Learning Health System (LHS), offering strategic support at each part of the cycle from setting priorities to generating evidence to putting that evidence into practice and policy.

Financial support for trainees

MSSU strengthens patient-oriented research by investing in trainees who are learning to partner meaningfully with people with lived and living experience.

The Trainee Support Program provides funding to master’s and doctoral trainees in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, along with training and access to MSSU expertise to build skills in patient engagement.

Since 2014, MSSU has invested more than $3 million to support trainees across the Maritimes.
