Dr. Jill Hayden has agreed to serve as the Science Lead for Nova Scotia for the Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit (MSSU).
As Lead for Nova Scotia, Jill will work with MSSU staff, local stakeholders and the research community to strengthen MSSU as a center of expertise in patient-oriented research methods and evidence implementation in the province. Jill brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role with the MSSU. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology and Curriculum Component Head in the Undergraduate Medical Education, Research in Medicine program. Jill leads a successful research and implementation program that actively engages healthcare professionals, patients and trainees (https://www.dal.ca/sites/backpain.html). Her research expertise includes systematic review methods, prognostic research, musculoskeletal health, and knowledge translation/ implementation; she brings to the MSSU a long history of involvement and leadership within Cochrane.
Jill is excited to build connections with new and existing MSSU collaborators across Nova Scotia and the other Maritime provinces.
