The MSSU is pleased to announce the 14 recipients of the 2019-2020 MSSU Student Awards.
The MSSU Student Awards provide financial support to research trainees pursuing patient-oriented health research. The 2019-20 competition was open to students who are enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral program in Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island and have an MSSU Associate Scientist for a supervisor.
These awards are an important part of the MSSU’s commitment to developing capacity for patient-oriented research. This year’s competition represents a total investment of $300,000 in the next generation of high-caliber researchers here in the Maritimes.
The value and duration of the 2019-2020 MSSU Student Award is up to $10,000/year for up to 2 years (Masters) and up to $15,000/year for up to 4 years (Doctoral). The competition was administered by Research Nova Scotia.
