CANUE webinar highlights new environmental data at NB-IRDT

On March 27, 2020, the Canadian Urban Environmental Health Research Consortium (CANUE) hosted a webinar about the connections between CANUE and three provincial data centres, including the New Brunswick Institute of Research, Data and Training (NB-IRDT).

Dr. Ted McDonald, NB-IRDT Director, joined colleagues from the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy, and Population Data BC to present “A Tale of Three Provinces: Manitoba, New Brunswick and BC, Data Scope and Availability.” The talk introduced each of the provincial data centres, and highlighted new data available at the three sites, as well as national efforts to coordinate across jurisdictions through the SPOR Canadian Data Platform.

Their talk was followed by a presentation by Dany Doiron, from CANUE, about CANUE data sets—current and forthcoming—as well as examples that illustrate how this wealth of data can facilitate environmental health research at various stages of life.

The webinar slides and audio are available on the CANUE website.
