Research study: Tools & resources for lived experience engagement in mental health research

Our research study is looking to identify tools and resources needed to support the engagement of people with lived experience, and families/caregivers, as advisors, collaborators, or co-leads in research. Participation involves completing a brief virtual survey. You will also be invited to an optional virtual or in-person consultation event that you may choose to attend.

Eligibility

We are looking for individuals who meet either of the below criteria:

  • a person with lived experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges, or a family member of a person with lived experience, AND has been an advisor, a collaborator, or co-lead in mental health/substance use research or,
  • an academic researcher, a research trainee, or a research staff (i.e., scientist, post-doctoral research fellow, PhD student, research coordinator, research analyst, other) who has engaged people with lived experience in research

Time commitment

The research study is currently ongoing, and we are continuing to collect survey responses until mid-June. The optional consultation event will be held in late June or early July.

Compensation

A $25 e-gift card for survey respondents, and an additional $50 e-gift card for consultation event attendees.
