The Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit (MSSU) is seeking three Patient/Public Partners to join a grant application for an extension funding opportunity from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).

The vision of the MSSU is to meaningfully involve people with lived experience in health research and governance of SPOR units. Your insights and perspectives are essential to shaping the future of our work as we apply for this extension of Phase II funding for SPOR SUPPORT Units across Canada.

The successful candidates will be selected by MSSU provincial leads to ensure involvement of Patient/Public Partners with diverse backgrounds and experiences in terms of age, gender identity, occupation, language, culture, ethnicity and geography.

Eligibility

Time Commitment

Members are required to attend a virtual retreat on August 13 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. AT and be available to attend Extension Business Case Working Group meetings (virtually) as needed.

The application will be submitted in October.

Selected candidates will need time to prepare all required materials as a grant participant, such as a Canadian Common CV and CIHR PIN and associated letters. MSSU staff will support the candidates in preparing these documents.  

Compensation

Members will be compensated as per the MSSU Patient/Public Partner Appreciation Policy.
