Available positions: 1
Deadline to apply: February 28, 2025

Research Nova Scotia (RNS) is looking for one public partner to review eight applications as part of their New Investigator in Addictions and Mental Health Grant review process. For the purposes of this grant, equity-deserving groups are defined as, but not limited to: Mi’kmaq/Indigenous Persons or Communities, African Nova Scotians/Persons of African descent, Racialized Persons, Newcomers, Persons with Disabilities, the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, Acadian/Francophone individuals, and residents of rural areas.

These applications must clearly demonstrate meaningful engagement with research beneficiaries. The role of the public partner will be to read all assigned applications and provide input and insight to ensure that the research being proposed is relevant and valuable to the patients and communities that it affects. They will not be expected to comment on the scientific validity of the proposal. Support and resources will be provided for reviewing the patient/community engagement elements of a grant application.
