The MSSU Trainee Support Program offers funding opportunities for individuals pursuing patient-oriented health research in a Master’s or Doctoral program at a university in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia. We are looking for Patient/Public Partners to review this year’s trainee applications. The MSSU Scientists Selection Committee members will identify the top candidates and Patient/Public Partners will review their patient engagement plans using the SCPOR Level of Engagement tool.

Eligibility
- Live in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick
- Experience reviewing grants
Time Commitment:
- A one-hour virtual orientation session in April 2024 (date TBD as needed)
- Independent review and scoring of top candidates identified by MSSU Scientists Selection Committee members (~ 5 hours)
- Anticipated dates for independent review: May 8 – May 22
- Two ½ day virtual meetings of the Selection Committee with MSSU Scientists
- June 2, 1pm – 4pm
- June 3, 1pm – 4pm
Compensation:
Compensation will be offered.
