Anesthesia Patient Reported Outcomes Workshop

Researchers in the Nova Scotia Health Department of Anesthesia are holding a one-day, in-person workshop on October 1st, 2024 in Dartmouth to discuss what outcomes are most important to older patients and their caregivers following recovery from anesthesia. The discussions at this workshop will inform a future study to measure patient-reported outcomes following anesthesia in older individuals.


Eligibility:

  • Participants must be 65 years of age or older and have received anesthesia care at Nova Scotia Health in Halifax Regional Municipality, Eastern Shore, or West Hands Regions of Nova Scotia and/or
  • Family members or caregivers of someone 65 years of age or older that received anesthesia care

Time commitment:
Participants are asked to attend a one-day workshop (approximately 8 hours). A brief information package will be provided to all participants in advance of the workshop that explains commonly used surveys for assessing recovery for anesthesia.
