Science Team Members for Equity, Diversity, Inclusivity and Accessibility (EDIA)
About the Opportunity
The Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit (MSSU) is seeking highly motivated and dynamic Science Team Members for Equity, Diversity, Inclusivity and Accessibility (EDIA) to work as a member of the EDIA Science Team to:
Recommend strategies for increasing the knowledge of EDIA principles amongst MSSU staff, Patient/Public Partners, Science Leads, and MSSU Scientists
Provide guidance around establishing a network of EDIA relevant community groups and organizations
Make recommendations for revisions to MSSU programs, policies, projects and training from an EDIA lens
Advise on how to raise awareness of past and current EDIA initiatives at the MSSU
Advise on how to provide guidance to patient-oriented researchers on incorporating EDIA considerations into their research.
This is a volunteer position with the MSSU. The EDIA Science team meets on a monthly basis for 1 hour.
