New online form for patient engagement opportunities

New online form for patient engagement opportunities

Submit your call for Patient/Public Partners at MSSU.ca

Starting this week, patient engagement opportunities can be submitted to the Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit (MSSU) through an easy-to-use online form.

The digital form option gives researchers and staff more flexibility to submit an opportunity from their device and allows them to receive immediate confirmation they have successfully submitted their opportunity.

The form is available now and is part of ongoing efforts to modernize our processes to advance patient-oriented research in the Maritimes. Each opportunity is reviewed by our Patient Engagement Coordinator(s) and promptly posted to our Opportunities webpage.

For patient engagement opportunities to be shared on our website, they must be seeking individuals from a Maritime province(s) and be health related. We will promote patient participation opportunities from other SPOR entities, only if the research is health-related and engages patients in the project.

What’s the difference?

Patient engagement is when Patient/Public Partners are actively engaged in research governance, priority setting, developing research questions and sharing results.
Patient Participation
is when the patient and/or public is enrolled in a study as a subject or asked to complete a survey.

If you have an engagement opportunity to share, please use our new online form. If you have any questions, please contact our Patient Engagement Team at PatientEngagement@mssu.ca
