About the project

This work originated from the need to better understand the concept of social license around the use of health data from a public perspective. Community conversations will be hosted across the Maritimes, with a particular focus on rural communities. These sessions will engage participants in discussions about how health data is currently used in administrative health data centers. Following this, the sessions will explore participants’ perceptions of health data use, identifying the conditions and actions they support in relation to health data.

Objectives

1.Better understand the public’s knowledge and perceptions around the use of their health data

2.Identify the conditions and related actions that would support the public’s acceptance in use of their health data
