The Centre for Health and Community Research (CHCR) at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) is leading a study to measure how common gambling was amongst adults in PEI in 2019 and gambling trends over time. This work follows on previous studies performed in 2005 and 1999.
The study is also examining behaviours related to in-person and online gambling in PEI. There is a particular focus on the characteristics and harms associated with problem gambling. The results of this study will be available in the summer of 2021. Findings will help to inform programs and policies aimed at reducing problem gambling.
