Patients' Den: Patients setting research priorities in healthcare

About this opportunity

The Centre for Research in Integrated Care (CRIC), in partnership with the Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit (MSSU), will host the 3rd annual Patients’ Den in-person event on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at Lily Lake Pavilion in Saint John, New Brunswick. They are currently recruiting four New Brunswick volunteer patient partners to help judge and select the winning research teams. We invite you to apply to become one of our panelists. All patient panelists’ food and travel costs (within New Brunswick) will be covered. Panelists will also receive compensation for their time.

To qualify, you must be:
From New Brunswick and able to attend the event in person. No previous research experience is required. Training and resources to help you confidently select the winning research projects will be provided.

About Patients’ Den:

Structured similar to the popular television series Dragons’ Den, the Patients’ Den has researchers ‘pitch’ their health research projects to our judges’ panel of five New Brunswick patient partners. Trainees and early-career researchers will compete for funding to support their health services delivery research. Our panel will decide which projects have what it takes to receive those invaluable research dollars. Patients’ Den is a free event and open to the public.
