Number of roles: Multiple

Overview: Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Dalhousie University are looking for patients, or their family members, who had an eye condition or saw an ophthalmologist in the past two years to join an advisory group. Patient advisors will participate in a guided discussion with other patients to help identify gaps and priorities, provide context to results, and help develop new research questions. To be eligible, patients must be committed to and respect diverse perspectives.

Location: Patients from all Maritime provinces.

Time Commitment: 

  • Participation in virtual training workshop(s) and regularly attend 2-4 group meeting per year
  • Approximately eight hours will be required for the training and two hours for the group discussion with other patient advisors. Group discussions can be held in the evenings or on weekend if more convenient for patients.

Compensation: Compensation will be provided.
